Developed by the Ford Performance division and dedicated to true off-road enthusiasts, the first version of the Raptor in Ranger history will be available in mid-2019 for European customers looking for a thrill, as well as a twin-Turbo version of the 2.0-liter Ford EcoBlue diesel engine that develops 213 HP and 500 Nm and a new 10-speed automatic transmission.

Built to withstand the toughest off-road challenges, the Ranger Raptor's unique reinforced and heavy-duty chassis design uses high-strength steel alloys to combat off-road sports running.

The new model has a larger sensor and a high ground clearance of 56 mm compared to the standard version of the Ranger.

Ranger Raptor allows drivers to choose between six operating modes offered by the Ranger control system in order to ensure deployment on all types of fields in different scenarios.
Ford engineers have extensively tested the new Ranger Raptor transmission, consisting of a 2.0-liter EcoBlue Bi-turbo and a 10-speed automatic transmission, to confirm its durability in the most difficult conditions. The tests involved forcing a high-pressure and low-pressure turbocharger by default until they were burned out, thus operating for 200 hours without interruption. The two turbines run in series at low rpm, for greater torque and faster response. At high rpm, a turbocharger with a higher low-pressure throughput helps achieve peak power.
