Hatchbacks are no longer in demand? Ford cuts production of the Fiesta model

Ford will reduce Fiesta production to four days a week, as opposed to the five days it has had so far, which will affect 2,200 workers. It is expected that the reduction in production will continue until the end of the year, after which a second survey will take place in may.
"Southern Europe and the UK are seeing weaker demand (for the Fiesta), which leads to the need to adjust production,” a Ford representative told Automotive News Europe.

The Cologne plant produces 1,150 Fiesta units a day, with one-third of this production shipped to the UK.
